The The Culture

Western Canada was first settled in the late 1800’s, mostly by people of European descent. What evolved out of this area were people that embrace freedom, equality, and respect for one another. Over the past 50 years, the area has seen significant immigration of people who represent a larger mosaic of world cultures. Still embracing the same virtues, southern Alberta holds true to its pioneering roots while embracing its new sense of globalism.

In the new century, western Canada has evolved to a hard working, freedom loving culture that prides itself in equality for all and a new fun loving attitude that embraces the global village. Overall, our people value our freedom and take pride in the way of life that has been built up by our forefathers and maintained by our new generations.
